JAY RIDLEY 10/21/2007

CV for Jay Ridley, Co-Founder/Vice President

One of the original "Ridley Riders", Jay and his two younger twin brothers (John & Andy) began riding their fathers two wheel creations at an early age. Jokingly, Ridley has said that he cannot remember ever having to pedal a bicycle as a child because they all had motors. The eldest son of Clay Ridley, Jay has worked with his father developing ideas.

A few of the ideas the father-son team has collaborated on included a bedroom light switch controlled by a "Mr. Coffee" timer. The idea never made it past his bedroom, but "worked wonderfully". "Set the switch timer for 6:30am and your bedroom light comes on making it hard to fall back to sleep. The beauty of the coffee timer was that the light would stay on for a hour and turn itself off" explained Ridley about the project. Created when he was only ten years old, Ridley remembers it as just one of many ideas "Dad and I" worked on together.

Not having the same mechanical talents as his father, Jay followed the entrepreneurial talents he inherited from his father which landed him in Nashville, Tennessee. Ridley attended the Mike Curb School of Music Business with hopes of learning the business of music and eventually starting a record label. The education uncovered his interest in theories of business and business models which he eventually brought to Ridley Motorcycle Company. In 2000, at the request of his father, Jay returned to Oklahoma City to help build what the two had started five years before. Then, as the the National Marketing Coordinator, Ridley developed the dealer network and began marketing the brand around the country.

During the last three years, Ridley has made significant contributions to the development of Ridley Motorcycle sales, brand position, and awareness. The company has been featured on CBS' The Price is Right, MTV's Cribs, Speedvisions' RideOn & American Thunder, and many other television programs as well as print and online publications.

He is married to Christi and has one son, Coleman.

Interesting Fact: Jay designs and writes much of the company's promotional materials including the company's web site.
